Utah Premier Brass Concert

After all the years of my dad coming to watch me play in band concerts, it was a pleasure to go support him in his newest band experience. He recently made it into the Utah Premier Brass! He is currently playing the baritone, although he hopes some day to play the euphonium. The band sounded great! I can't wait to go hear more :)
In this particular concert, dad had a duet part in The British Eighth. The video isn't great, but at least you can hear and see him during his solo (you can see him on the right once everyone puts their instruments down).

The band also played The Year of the Dragon by Philip Sparke. I'd never heard it before, but it was AMAZING! If you want to listen to the finale of it, hop over to YouTube and hear this performance by Cory Band.

Each concert has different music, ranging from marches, Broadway, western or classical. If you're ever interested in a night of great music this summer, here is their June schedule:

Sun. June 6, 7:00pm (Provo North Park)
Sat. June 12, 1:00pm (Orem City Center)
Sun. June 13, 7:00pm (Provo North Park)
Sun. June 20, 7:00pm (Provo North Park)
Mon. June 21, 7:00pm (Amercian Fork Amphitheatre)
Sun. June 27, 7:00pm (Provo North Park)

You can also keep up with them through their website at www.upb.org.

Love you Dad!!

Good for you dad-that's cool. Any idea when the concert with marches is? I love those.
