I am not much of an outdoors person. Like my mom, I am a home-body. I can enjoy being outside, but it isn't something I go out of my way to make part of my day. I do, however, love to see outside. I love watching it rain or snow, and seeing the sun shining on green leaves rustling in a soft breeze. I love how a window can create an ever-changing picture.
I miss windows!
There is a lot I love about living where we do, but as Nick can tell you, three years without windows is getting me down.
Meet my windows:
Our biggest window frames this gray/blue cement wall.
We can always tell when the grass needs mowing from our kitchen window.
The curtains in our bedroom window are rarely opened, but if they were, here is what you'd be seeing today. Beautiful, no?
This is what our house looks like when the curtains are drawn. Yes, it really feels that dark after a while.
To make up for the darkness, what could be more calming than fluorescent lighting?
Dear FR,
Please tell us we have a job so we can move somewhere with windows.
Sincerely,
Me

lol, I laughed when I saw your subject line with a :(. Yes, I definitely agree... being without windows would be a huge problem for me and my mood. The first thing I do in the morning is open all the blinds!
I'll cross my fingers that you get huge windows with lots of light in your future home! Although, I'll be sad you are no longer in UT (even though we don't get together that often, it's nice to know we CAN (and we SHOULD!):)
I'm the same. I LOVE windows!!! I have to have tons of sunlight.
When we lived in the in_laws basement they had huge Windows but they still just looked into the window wells. I hated not being able to tell the weather.
