A Suit Misadventure

Nick had two interviews in Palo Alto today which were a mixture of good and bad. The worst of all, though, was that his flight from Salt Lake was delayed and he would be missing his connection so they had to put him on another flight and they lost his luggage. It's a blessing that he was going to California this weekend and not back east. They called around to people in their ward and located someone tall enough for him to borrow a suit from. They searched in the attic and found an extra pair of shoes for him to wear (he wears a 17 so he can't really borrow from people!) Whew! What would we do without great neighbors and friends?

As for me, I have been getting a lot of planning done for next week and my kids have been really great (well, mostly!). I am having more fun as a teacher and am learning so much. It is nice to hear encouragement from everyone, thanks for always helping me stay positive about it all. I'm actually pretty lucky to be surrounded by so many fun children.

I can't belive they lost his luggage! What a bad experience, but is is nice to find out how caritable people are. I love hearing stories about people who jump up to the plate to help. I'm also glad to hear school is getting better, your great so It'll all come together.

Oh, how awful!! I can totally understand about hard to fit shoes and suits...for our first year of marriage I'd be like "can't you just borrow it from my dad (or just some other boy)?" He'd look at me and say "No, I can't. I'm 6'4" your dad is 5'4" It was pretty funny. Now I have it down

That sucks about the luggage! I hope I never have to go through that experience! It is a good thing he was in California! Thank goodness for family and friends. And how nice that there were some shoes in the attic! That would have been interesting trying to find some shoes that size last minute!

SIZE 17?! I'm speechless. I honestly don't remember him being that big...but I was extremely distracted by Daniel Radcliffe. At least you know I wasn't checkin' out your man, huh Em?
