Bake 52: Pizza Dough & Peanut Butter Cookies

Week 3 of being in the group and I am already a week behind - Ah! So, you're getting last week and this week together. Last week was the Basic Pizza Dough recipe, which you can get on Betsy's blog.
I love pizza. It's in my genes - for real.
I have tried several different dough recipes, and this will be added to my list of keepers. It is very mild and doesn't have a ton of flavor, but it was easy to make and baked up great. If you're all about a great-tasting crust, this is not the one. However, if you want to truly enjoy your toppings, this crust is for you.
I didn't make their sauce recipe, so I have no opinion to offer there.

This week was Peanut Butter cookies (Recipe on Jen's blog). Honestly, I'm not a huge PB cookie fan. But this recipe was good, and I will definitely be making it again when I'm in charge of taking dessert somewhere.
Mine turned out perfectly browned, perfectly chewy, and they did not fall flat at all. The only thing I could possibly attribute that to is that I followed the recipe exactly. With that said, in the future I would use creamy PB and add an extra half-cup of finely chopped nuts instead of using the extra crunchy PB. Too nutty for me.

The only thing that kept me from having the most perfect batch of cookies I've ever made was the fact that I made mine a little too big and they fused...yes, even after I saw the warning about that in the book... Oh, and with both batches in the oven at the same time, my cook time was closer to 18 min.

Your pizza was perfectly round... mine never turn out looking that good. Your cookies look great, even though they fused. Oh well, there's always next time, right? We really LOVED them too!
