We went with our friends Jon & Jaclyn to see the Christmas lights at Brookside Gardens. They have a nature theme, since they're a garden.
Inside the greenhouse they had many beautiful tropical plants and arrangements of poinsettias. It was also a nice place to warm up for a bit.
Afterward we had hot chocolate at home with some peppermint stir-sticks Jac had made. Yum!

Wow. I'm so behind. Too many new posts since I checked last and so many things to comment on! Where to start? I guess first just a general comment on how COOL you are! When you do something, you know how to do it right. Halloween costumes and the decor - amazing. All the sewing projects - adorable. Christmas tree - gorgeous. And the pictures you take to record it all - perfect. Love love love the pic of you and your mom laughing. classic. Oh and honeycrisp apple. Yeah. Totally my favorite too. I'll pay $2/lb for them even if Fuji or Gala are available for $.99/lb. They are so worth it. Almost like eating candy. I'm so glad your mom got to come visit. I LOVE her haircut. And your red coat is perfectly delicious. The Christmas lights at the garden look amazing. Love the bell/flower ones. Clearly there is more for me to see in your neck of the woods. Tristan will be going to Belize sometime this year. Maybe that means another D.C. trip for me....
Thanks for sharing all the photos and fun.
Happy Birthday! The scarves are so fun! Glad your mom got to come and celebrate with you. All the Christmas things around here are so fun.
