You know you're from a small town when . . .

The city puts a statue, literally, in the middle of the road, and it takes them 5 years to figure out that it was a bad idea.

I remember the first time I almost ran into Kokopelli on a visit to Price. Just a few of the questions that ran through my mind were:

"Why didn't anyone tell me they put a statue in the middle of the street?"

"What in the world were they thinking?"

"What exactly is that a statue of?"

"How do I get around this thing - do I turn in front of it, or behind it?"

"If they really wanted the statue here, why didn't they make it into a round-about? Oh wait, that would have made too much sense."

Farewell, Kokopelli, until we meet again . . .

It's about time! The placement of that thing never made any sense!

Man-clearly it's been way too long since I've been to Price since I didn't even know about said statue1

I think I had the same reaction as you the first time I went back to visit Price and it was there. Pretty statue, but so weird to put it there!
