27 going on 94

I have always loved what others of my generation might call "elevator music". I enjoy a good easy listening radio station. When the aunts and uncles bought Grandpa the Lifetime of Romance cd collection (you've probably seen the infomercials) I just had to have them in my own collection. I have listened to them over and over and over while living at Grandpa's where the tunes would float down the stairs.
So, why am I going on 94? It was only after I finally won my first game of Mahjong tiles on the computer and sat there singing to Release Me by Engelbert Humperdinck while watching the fireworks go off on my computer screen that I realized, I have turned into my Grandpa. How many days have a watched him sit at the computer playing games while listening to the same music?
Perhaps it is a manifestation of some homesickness. Perhaps the apple just didn't fall from the tree. But, it sure did make me think of Grandpa and gave me a little chuckle.

Haha! We saw Grandpa a couple of times this week and while the music was missing, the talks about his time on the computer weren't. He said he now plays his games until his "rear is so tired he can't feel it anymore", so as long as you're taking a break before you get to that point, you can probably claim that you're just 27 going on 93.
