Part of me very much wants to own a pair of super cute rain boots. I've always admired them in catalogs, but now they are staring me down at nearly every store I enter out here. I guess it does rain more here than in Utah! I have several problems, however.
First, I'm not sure how often I would actually wear them.
Second (and I'll be embarrassed if everyone else in the world knows this but me), I'm not quite sure how to wear them. Over your pant legs or under? Over your shoes or with just socks? If over your pant legs, how do you avoid ugly bunching of the pants at the top of the boot? (Don't answer skinny jeans, 'cause I'm not going there.)
Third, how could I ever choose which style or pattern to buy when there are so many? (I have always struggled with indecision, but that's a post for another day.)

on the non-bunching... stirrups. Remember old stirrup pants? Well now you can apparently buy clip on stirrups for your pants so that they don't ride up and bunch up when you tuck your pants into boots. You could probably make your own with with inch or 2 inch wide elastic and a few of the rigth clips from JoAnn Fabrics. And I'd say you wear them over your pant legs, so that they keep your pants dry.
I don't know the answer to any of your questions...but I say you get them! Yea!
BOOTS!!!
I love the polka dot ones. I wanted to get some when we were in London but then I realized I'd NEVER wear them here in CA when we got back. Too bad... I totally think you should get them! You wear them over your pants! AT least I think so....
These are so cute! Love them all. Yes, get them! They'll make any rainy day fabulous!
I have the same ?'s:)
My mother in law is a fashion queen :) and has a pair of polka dot boots and they are SO cute. She wears them over her pants. To not get them wrinkled she pulls them tight in the front and then wraps the extra pant material around her leg. Kind of like a cinnamon roll :) Call me if I don't make sense :)
BUT...YES GET THEM!
GET SOME!! I love the ones with the leg warmers on the top! I always wanted lady bug ones with a matching umbrella & coat. Totally get skinny jeans just for these! Other pants look like skinnys when their tucked in anyways. Unless you plan on taking your boots off in public. I don't cause I have stinky feet. Oh, It would be cute with a denim skirt!
How horrible am I for really wanting the high-heeled ones? And I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who wouldn't be caught dead in skinny jeans. :)
