I was reading through a book of various quotes I've kept and came across this one today. It made me smile as I remembered her. I think she knew that she could keep her legacy alive and touch those she loved even when she was gone through writing things down. I hope that I can someday become more like her in that way. She lived her life by these hopes, and is an example to me of serving and finding happiness through a personal relationship with God.
Hope

I hope that my eyes will be open to the miracle of life and that I will appreciate the opportunity I have to partake of the joy that life has to offer.
I hope to be a friend to those I meet and associate with because a true friend comes as one of God's choicest blessings.
I hope to always be within Thy reach. Only through close contact with God can we hope to have the strength to stand up against the forces in life that can, if we are caught off-guard, knock us off our feet.
I hope my thoughts will be guided toward repentance for without it we cannot hope to reach our potential.
I hope I'll be able to gain wisdom by recognizing the many mistakes made in life - mostly my own.
I hope to keep in mind that 'no one is too good to slip, or too bad to climb'.
I hope to always remember that 'the sun cannot cast a shadow unless the sun is shining bright somewhere behind it'.
I hope to have a strong and unfailing love for our Father in Heaven, for through our love and trust in him, we will find the key to all things.
WHAT IS YOUR HOPE?

How beautiful. She did have a way with words. My hope is to be happy in my life. That's all I can ask for.
Thanks for posting this Em. It's so nice to be able to keep Grandma's memory alive!
