I'm sure you can understand why I saved it till the last.
One day I decided to finally conquer it. I spent an hour clearing this much . . .
and I still had this much to go:
I decided to call in reinforcements. The aunts and uncles came with the cousins and children. It only took about an hour to clear the big stuff, then another hour + to cut away the sections that had molded themselves and grown into the fence.
We were left with huge piles. The grass had so much dirt on it that you couldn't see the grass.
Then there was the disposal of all the debris:
I got most of the dirt raked up and sprayed it down. It will look much better once the wind and rain clean things off a little more. But, for now, here are the results of our labor. Pretty great if you ask me!
During our work we found only a few spiders, lots of dust and dirt, several wires, rotted pieces of wood, muscles we'd forgotten we had and a nice cement block path along the fence no one even knew existed.
THANK YOU FAMILY!!!
