Relief Society Celebration

Last night was our yearly Relief Society Celebration. This is the second year I've been in charge, and while last year was good (we had a progressive dinner), I think this year was much better.

We often talk about the founding of the RS during the 1800s, but rarely talk about its modern history. I had an amazing committee who helped me showcase RS during the 1920s, 1950s, 1970s and 1990s.

The decorations were fun, the food was colorful, and the games were delightful. We played bingo and jeopardy. To end the night we watched the video on Relief Society from lds.org. The sisters had a great time, ate and ate and ate, and of course visited for about 2 hours.
Some of the fabulous food. We had chips and dip, fruit, veggies, and bagel pizzas.Nick helped me with the RS President Bingo cards. The sisters got to know the names of all of the Presidents and see their faces. We each made a table decoration themed around each of the eras. They looked wonderful. At each table, we had information cards about the Presidents during that era, which we used for the Jeopardy game.
