For Valentine's this year, Nick and I bought tickets to see
Richard Marx
in concert at the Peppermill Concert Hall in Wendover, NV.
If you've never been, it's great. Good prices, and it isn't very big, so there are no bad seats.
(We know 'cause we were on the very last row and still felt close!)

The view just before getting to Wendover. The concert hall.
This is really random, but they have the shiniest bathrooms I'd ever seen. Seriously, every surface was reflective - the picture just doesn't do it justice.
If you don't know who he is right away, you've certainly heard some of his songs from the 80's or 90's: "Right Here Waiting", "Endless Summer Nights", "Don't Mean Nothin" . . .
What you probably didn't know is that he has written/produced TONS of songs you've certainly heard if you ever listen to music: "Dance With My Father" by Luther Vandross, "Better Life" and "Everybody" by Keith Urban. The list goes on and on!
In fact, if you want to participate in a little experiment with me, you can go to your iTunes music and search for Richard Marx. Any songs that come up were likely written/co-written by him. Find any?
Songs by other artists I found in my music library that surprised me include:
"To Where You Are" by Josh Groban
"This I Promise You" by *NSYNC
"The Last Words You Said" by Sarah Brightman
"Still Holding Out For You" by SHeDaisy
"At The Beginning" from the Anastasia Soundtrack
"I Won't Be The One To Let Go" by Barbra Streisand and Barry Manilow
"If You Ever Leave Me" by Barbra Streisand and Vince Gill
Well, enough on that. Here are some photos from the concert. If you want a taste of how he sounded live, click here.
Thanks for a great weekend, Nick! I love ya :)

I like your mountain picture. That is so amazing. I wish our bathroom looked like that.
What a fabulous weekend!
