In just under 1 year we will be . . .
moving to the Washington, DC area!!!
At the end of the summer Nick received an offer from both of the law firms he worked at. We really enjoyed both firms, and they each had such different things to offer. After much thought and prayer, we decided that the larger firm in DC would be the best fit for us right now. I know a lot of you will call this old news, but we didn't want to blog it to the world until all of the conflict checks had been done and we had turned down the other offer. It's not actually official, because they are still looking into potential conflicts, but at this point it's pretty much set.
The firm is called Fish & Richardson. They have roughly 400 attorneys in 10 offices around the country (plus a small office in Germany). They specialize in Intellectual Property law and do a lot of patent work, which is what Nick will do. We're hoping that he'll get a good mix of both prosecution and litigation experience.
I talked Nick into finding a 2 bedroom apartment there so that we will have room to host visitors (and for my sewing and crafts!). Any and all are invited to come and stay with us if you want to plan a trip out! Looking forward to visits might be the only thing that will keep me from dying of home sickness : (
We're excited and nervous about the new adventure!
