Highschool . . . It's been a long time!

I was talking to my mom this weekend and she was telling me how the high school drill team went to state competition last weekend. This got me thinking about good old Carbon High! I thought I would get on their website just to see what was new. They actually have a pretty good website now. Carbon High Website

I missed seeing some of the teachers who are gone now but was interested to see what everyone else was doing and who the new teachers are. When did Coach Bean become the Vice Principal? (weird) And what happened to Principal Cox? Did Mr. Krompel retire? Did Coach Herrick move? These are all questions I asked myself.

Anyway, it brought back some great memories of those years (although I was grateful to be spending 1/2 day at CEU during Senior year) Thanks to all you friends who made it so much fun!

Since I still live in P-Town, I know the answers to some of these. Cox now works at the district office (not sure what his title is) & so this year they have a new principal & Mr. Bean is vice. Herrick moved during the summer after he was told he'd no longer be the baseball coach last year. (Something to do with parents complaining about unfairness or whatever...) Mr. Krompel must have retired because I asked my sister Katy & she said Mrs. Krompel is there but never heard of a Mr. (Now that's weird! Carbon without Mr. Krompel!?)

What is Carbon High like without Mr. Krompel and his weird sayings and the "misty" room (that he was a little interesting and his eyes were bloodshot afterwards)? I can't even imagine that!

Well, I think Bill Krompel became a Carbon County Commissioner. He was an awesome science teacher; I really admired him.

I was at Mont Harmon the year Miss Wright the geometry teacher became Mrs. Krompel. She was awesome, too. They had a house with solar panels.

Thank heavens for them! I was never one to fit in or conform, and I think I would have gone crazy in Price if I hadn't had role models like Mr. and Mrs. Krompel.
