My very own classroom!
I finally got keys to my new classroom and have a lot of work to do on it. I don't know who they had plan the colors for the cupboards, but they must have eaten one too many cotton candies! As of now (Thursday night) nothing is set up and it is really dirty. Apparently the janitors didn't do much this summer in the room : ( We have an open house on Monday night, so mom came up to help me get it put together. Between her and who ever else can come to help, I hope to have it transformed by then!
It's a good thing that Kindergarten kids have a week of testing before we actually start class instruction because there is no way I could get my room ready and plan lessons at the same time. So, I am trying not to think of the latter until Monday!

This is VERY cool, Emily! I love the carpet, and I agree about the crazy cupboards. I can't wait to see the "after" pics.
Wow....the painter must have used the left over paint from the cupboards and come to our house to paint our room....though we prefer to call our room bubblegum or salt water taffy! I suppose that in the eyes of a 5 year old, those colors are super cool for a classroom!
I'm tentatively planning to come down Saturday to help!
Man, you've got lots to do in a short amount of time. most teachers have all summer to be thinking of what they are going to do and stuff, you have just a few days, good luck.
I will try and email you that recipe tomorrow, i am glad you enjoyed the salsa chicken. So good and so easy!
Jenn, I do hope that you can come down. Even if next weekend works better for you it would be wonderful. At that point I will be pulling all of my last minute things together for actual class to start so I'll probably need some help then as well. Whatever you can work out I will be grateful for!
WOW! Thoes cupboards! But, that's so cool to have a classroom! Fun!
